DISCOVER COMACCHIO 2021

The museum map

This interactive map of the Ancient Delta Museum is the fruit of the work of a group of students of the Comprehensive School of Comacchio.

For several years, they have been involved in the project called, “Discover Comacchio” for the study and promotion of the cultural, historical and environmental heritage of our territory.

In particular, for the programme, “ MIM – Museum in Music,” the Comprehensive School ofComacchio was one of the winners of the ninth edition of the competition, “Io amo i beni culturali –Emilia Romagna” and this interactive map is a graphic representation of all this experience.

Therefore, this work doesn’t have any pretensions to professionalism or completeness, but it would emphasize, on one hand, the learning process of knowledge of the group of students that studied the museum, its organisation, the exhibits on display and the XVIII century Hospital of the Infirm itself using the CLIL methodology and, on the other hand, our music students’ promotion of these important components of Italy’s history and culture.

Further, the progress of the students and the project trend was inevitably complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic that interrupted activities last February. But the tenacity and the passion of the pupils made us start this work again the result is this very interactive map of the museum.

Still we are aware that some topics could be examined more closely, but due to the problems we encountered, we have have temporarily postponed continuing improvements until better times; then there will definitely be another chance to study new topics in and about the museum and we hope it will offer you another reason to come back again and again to re-discover a museum as it re-invents itself!
