Corridoio Scala (seconda parte) e il secondo piano

La seconda rampa della scalinata è sormontata dalla grande scultura di Pomodoro. Alle pareti alcune pregevoli opere riferibili a diversi movimenti astrattisti. Questi includono dipinti di Soldati come “City”.
Sul pianerottolo superiore, una selezione di noti pittori italiani le cui opere richiamano in particolare la poetica dell’informala dell’ultimo naturalismo, tra cui “Spirali” di Alfredo Chighine.

Proseguendo nel corridoio, si incontra un bellissimo insieme di opere futuriste e post cubiste tra cui una figura femminile di Renato Biroli.
‘60, faceva capo all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, e all’ambito della Nuova Figurazione. Sono qui presenti opere di artisti, che a tale contesto culturale facevano riferimento, al pari dello stesso Brindisi.

The Staircase (second part) and the second floor

The second flight of stairs is surmounted by the imposing sculpture by Pomodoro. On the walls there are a number of interesting works relating to different abstractionist movements.
On the upper landing, a selection of famous Italian painters, especially belonging to the movements of informal Art and Late Naturalism, among which Alfredo Choghine (Milan 1914-Pisa 1974) “Spirali” 1956.

Going on along the corridor, in the first section visitors can see a beautiful ensemble of Futurist and Post-Cubist works, including a still life by Tullio Crali (Igalo 1910-Milan 2000), a female figure by Renato Biroli (Verona 1905-Milan 1959).
The last two sections of the corridor are dedicated to “Existencial Realism”, a movement that between the mid-Fifties and Sixties referred to Brera Academy of Fine Arts, and the “New Figuration” environment. Those exihibited here are works by artists related to that cultural context, as Mr. Brindisi himself was.
